Permits Administrator | Fluxys

For Fluxys, I am looking for a Permits Administrator. Fluent in Dutch or French, with good command of the other language.

Fluxys is an international energy infrastructure group with 1,300 employees active in gas transmission & storage and liquefied natural gas terminalling.

The group transports natural gas through its infrastructure while paving the way for the transmission of hydrogen, biomethane or any other carbon-neutral energy carrier as well as carbon dioxide, accomodating its capture, use and storage.

As a purpose-driven company, Fluxys is committed to continue building a greener energy future for the generations to come and to help accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral world.

The Community Relations Department is responsible for contacts with the 'Community' in the broad sense, i.e. all stakeholders affected by the presence of Fluxys pipelines (authorities, local residents, other infrastructure managers and contractors, etc.) in order to obtain and maintain administrative permits from the competent authorities for the construction and operation of gas infrastructure, to establish and maintain good relations with local residents, to manage Fluxys Belgium's property assets and to promote safe activities when works are carried out by third parties near these facilities.

With three other colleagues and under the supervision of the Permits Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering permit applications in the context of the energy transition, at both regional and federal level in Belgium:

  • You will prepare new permit applications and monitor pending applications
  • You will work closely with internal clients
  • You will screen the documents required for applications
  • You will draft the necessary notes

  • You hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in law
  • You have relevant professional experience and are interested in the energy sector or permits
  • You are able or willing to interpret and apply licensing regulations correctly (CoDT, OVD, VCRO, environmental regulations, etc.)
  • You have strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • You have good writing skills and a sense of constructive dialogue
  • You are proactive, autonomous, diplomatic and willing to find solutions
  • You are a team player with excellent organisational skills and good stress resistance, enabling you to work transversally
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French and have a good command of the other language. A good knowledge of English is a plus

  • The opportunity to innovate and contribute to a carbon-neutral world within a fast growing international group
  • Ambitious and stimulating projects that will challenge your intellect
  • The opportunity to continuously develop yourself
  • A pleasant and dynamic working environment
  • Easily accessible offices, flexible working hours and remote working possibilities
  • An attractive salary package and many fringe benefits
