For a leading law firm, I am looking for a Junior Associate with a strong interest in Environmental and Public Law who intends to start the bar in autumn 2026. Fluent in Dutch, with a good command of French and English.
The firm is a leading independent business law firm based in Brussels. Its Regulatory Practice is widely recognised as one of the leading teams in Belgium, bringing together a group of highly specialised lawyers advising both public authorities and private clients on a broad range of regulatory matters.
The team’s expertise covers administrative law, environmental and energy law, zoning and urban planning, and public procurement. It is involved in complex and high-impact matters, ranging from permitting, waste and soil regulations, and water management to large-scale infrastructure and urban regeneration projects.
Working closely with other practice groups within the firm, the team combines in-depth legal expertise with a pragmatic and solution-driven approach, assisting clients on projects that directly shape the development of cities, communities, and the environment.
As a Junior Associate, you will be involved in a wide variety of environmental and public law matters from the outset. You will work on both advisory and contentious files, assisting clients in navigating complex regulatory frameworks and representing them before administrative authorities and courts where necessary.
You will contribute to matters covering, among others, environmental permitting, land use and urban planning, waste and soil regulations, water law, and energy-related projects.
You will work closely with colleagues across different practice areas, benefiting from a multidisciplinary approach and the support of experienced specialists within the firm. The position offers early responsibility, including direct client contact, and the opportunity to develop strong technical expertise in a stimulating and collaborative environment.
