1. Scope

These general terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Lawdle SRL, whose registered office is located at Avenue de la Forêt de Soignes 60 B202, 1640 Rhode-Saint-Genèse, Belgium (BE 0630.847.418) (hereinafter “Lawdle”), a company specialised in legal recruitment in Belgium for law firms and companies.

Any collaboration with Lawdle implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

2. Nature of legal recruitment services

Lawdle supports its clients in identifying and selecting legal professionals in Belgium for long-term engagements.

Its services include in particular:

  • defining recruitment needs
  • identifying and approaching candidates
  • assessing and presenting legal profiles
  • providing support throughout the recruitment process

Lawdle acts as an intermediary. The hiring decision remains the sole responsibility of the client.

 

3. Approach and commitment

Lawdle adopts a thoughtful and tailored approach, aimed at presenting candidates who genuinely match the client’s expectations.

Its commitments are subject to a best-efforts obligation: Lawdle does not guarantee the successful completion of a recruitment, but undertakes to deploy its full expertise in legal recruitment to ensure quality.

 

4. Collaboration with the client

Effective collaboration relies on transparent and responsive communication.

The client undertakes to:

  • provide complete and accurate information regarding the position and its environment
  • ensure timely follow-up on presented candidates
  • inform Lawdle of any decisions regarding candidates

Any direct contact with a candidate introduced by Lawdle shall be brought to its attention, unless otherwise agreed between the parties.

 

5. Fees

Fees are due in the event of the engagement of a candidate introduced by Lawdle, regardless of the nature of the contractual arrangement (employee, independent contractor, or otherwise).

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • fees are calculated based on the candidate’s gross annual remuneration
  • detailed terms are defined in the commercial proposal

Fees are also due if:

  • the candidate is hired within 12 months of their introduction
  • the engagement is made through a related entity of the client

 

6. Invoicing and payment

Invoices are payable within 30 days from the invoice date, unless otherwise specified.

In case of late payment:

  • interest may be applied in accordance with applicable law
  • a fixed compensation may be claimed

 

7. Replacement guarantee

Where applicable, a replacement guarantee may be provided.

This is subject to:

  • full payment of the fees
  • the termination not resulting from external factors (organisational, economic, or substantial changes to the role)

Specific terms are defined in the commercial proposal.

 

8. Confidentiality

Lawdle and the client undertake to treat as strictly confidential:

  • all information exchanged in the course of the assignment
  • any data relating to candidates

Presented profiles may not be used outside the relevant recruitment process without prior consent.

 

9. Data protection

Lawdle processes personal data in compliance with applicable regulations, including the GDPR.

Candidate data is shared with the client solely for the purpose of evaluating a professional opportunity.

The client undertakes to use such data in a limited, appropriate, and lawful manner.

 

10. Liability

Lawdle exercises particular care in the selection of candidates.

However, Lawdle shall not be held liable for:

  • decisions made by the client
  • information provided by candidates

Its liability is in any event limited to the amount of fees received for the relevant assignment.

 

11. Non-solicitation

The client undertakes not to recruit any Lawdle employee during the collaboration and for a period of 12 months thereafter, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Belgian law.

Any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the courts of Lawdle’s registered office.
