Business Development Advisor | Leading Benelux Law Firm

For a leading Benelux law firm, I am looking for a Business Development Advisor with at least 3 years of experience in a professional services environment. Excellent writing skills in English and a good command of Dutch and French are essential.

The firm is a leading independent business law firm with a strong presence across the Benelux. Its Brussels office advises national and international clients on a wide range of complex legal and business matters.

You will join a dynamic Business Development, Marketing & Communication team and work directly with partners and lawyers to support the firm's strategic growth ambitions.

As a Business Development Advisor, you will support lawyers and partners in the execution of a wide range of business development initiatives. You will play a key role in strengthening the firm's market position and supporting its commercial development.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the BD Manager and partner group with day-to-day business development operations
• Coordinating and drafting pitches, client proposals and legal directory submissions (Chambers and Legal 500)
• Supporting and following up on client and sector teams, ensuring actions are implemented and tracked
• Conducting market and client analyses to support the BD Manager and partner group in their strategic decision-making and uncover growth opportunities
• Managing and maintaining business development tools and databases (CRM, client lists, pitch database)
• Providing operational support to the wider BMC team where necessary, and occasional backup for events and communications projects

You will work closely with partners and senior stakeholders and contribute directly to the firm's growth strategy.

• You hold a degree in law, business or other related field, or have gained equivalent experience through your professional career
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a professional services, consultancy or similar B2B environment
• Experience within a law firm is considered an asset
• Experience as a lawyer or legal professional combined with a strong commercial interest is highly valued
• You have strong analytical skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• You are organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
• You are proactive, pragmatic and comfortable taking ownership of projects
• You communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and enjoy working in a collaborative environment
• You combine a hands-on attitude with a strong sense of initiative and responsibility
• You have excellent writing skills in English and a good command of Dutch and French
